My girls and I recently experienced the magic of a 4-day Baja Mexico Disney cruise aboard the Disney Wonder. I had not been on a cruise in over 15 years, so I was curious to see what this experience was going to be like. We are total Disney fans, so a Disney cruise sounded like a fun option for testing out my sea legs once again.

On the cruise, we were celebrating my brother and sister-in-law’s 40th birthdays. They had wanted an experience where the adults could bring their kids along while still having the opportunity to enjoy adult time. The Disney cruise proved to be the perfect solution, offering a kids club with complimentary childcare services. This allowed our group to relish the adult-only areas of the ship while the little ones were entertained.

Kids' Paradise: Oceaneer Club
The Oceaneer Club, for 3 to 11 year-olds, is a paradise of Disney-themed wonder. From a Toy Story-themed climbing area to a Marvel gaming zone and a giant movie screen, there's endless entertainment to keep the kids engaged. With childcare available from early morning until midnight, parents can relax knowing their children are in good hands.

Each night, the ship came alive with Broadway-quality live shows that captivated audiences of all ages. Multiple family pools, a giant water slide, and a splash pad ensured that the little ones were always entertained. Meanwhile, adults could unwind at various bars with live entertainment and specialty crafted drinks. There was fun to be had off the ship as well! Disney offers a host of land excursions to experience while at port. From zip-lining to walking tours, there was something for every kind of adventurer.

I loved the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the kids zones to spend some time in the ship's adult-only areas. With so many options, you could indulge in fine dining at exclusive restaurants, hang out in the nightclubs and lounges, relax by the serene adult-only pool, enjoy a craft coffee, or pamper yourself at the day spa. These tranquil spaces offered a peaceful retreat where you could recharge and rejuvenate, all while enjoying Disney's signature quality service.

The service was outstanding and the entertainment was top-notch.
The ship was very clean and our stateroom attendant always made sure our room was neat and tidy.
The food was good — not exceptional, but I was still overall pleased with the quality.
The ship did feel a bit crowded at times, but it was short-lived and much of the time it felt spacious.
